How we work

Simon Kohn (Furniture) Ltd.  realize that everybody’s tastes differ and every project has its own individual requirements.  Each enquiry is dealt with personally.  With Bespoke items it is important that you, the client, are able to feel that we understand exactly what you want. Firstly we set up a no obligation meeting and talk through the project with you and list your requirements. We are quite happy to let you “pick our brains” and to help you with practical design ideas using our expertise gained through many years of experience. We can offer as much or as little advise as you want.  If the furniture is to be fitted we do a detailed photographic and site survey.  Then provisional sketches and drawings are prepared to start the design process.  As we work through the design detail, more drawings, patterns and samples are prepared for your comments. We like you to be involved at every stage, so you feel confident the finished item will be just as you pictured it. When the design process is complete and all the detail and finishes have been agreed, we then ask for a deposit and the work begins.

Throughout the manufacturing process you are very welcome to visit the workshop by appointment to look at the work in progress and talk through the project.  If you are able, we do ask that the finished furniture be approved prior to being delivered or fitted on site.  If you are not able to visit, we can photograph the finished pieces and email them to you.
