American Black Walnut Study in a Private House

Simon Kohn Furniture Ltd was recently commissioned to design, manufacture and install this American Black Walnut Home Office and at the same time completely refurbish the room with new decorations, carpet and lighting.

The size and shape of the room mean't it was important to maximise the use of the space for filing, display, general office storage and workspace. All the electrics, data and telecoms were subtely incorporated into the scheme producing a wirefree appearance.

Low voltage LED lighting was introduced into the display cabinets and also used as downlighters onto the worksurface. Uplighters distributed light around the ceiling and once the new carpet and redecoration was completed by our craftsmen and tradesmen the overall effect was superb. It had become a warm, inviting fully functioning workspace that was a very attractive and substantial addition to the house.
